Summary

Mooring buoys in saltwater collect growth over time, which can hide damage and weaken their hardware. For Ayock House, we were called in to clean the buoy and inspect its condition to help maintain safe mooring.

The Work

Removed marine growth and debris from the buoy and attached float
Inspected all visible hardware, chain, and connections for wear
Provided documentation of current buoy and gear condition

The Outcome

The buoy and hardware are now free from buildup, making it easier to spot wear or corrosion. This helps owners stay ahead of repairs and keeps mooring safer for everyone.
